I don't take pictures of people. I never have and, when I tried, I never obtained good results. Taking pictures of people, making nice portraits, capturing human behaviour in reportage photography, are actions far from my photographic sensitivity. So, quite some time ago I chose nature and wildlife, suitable for my introverted disposition that seeks quietness and observation and can better express itself if not forced to face its subject. I think that this was the right path for me. I am not, though, a real wildlife photographer. I am only seeking images and, above all, the emotions that produce them. So, in every good picture I take, I feel truth and honesty, but also falsity and deceit, because at shooting time, ambiguous actions of photographic pretence open spaces of fascinating uncertainty. It is thanks to the pleasure I get from this uncertainty that I still try to create good pictures. Sometimes I succeed, sometimes I don't.
